Your adventure begins with an overnight train journey from Mumbai to Mangaluru, followed by a visit to the revered Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple in Dharmasthala, one of Karnataka’s most important pilgrimage destinations.
From there, venture into the picturesque hills of Chikmagalur, the coffee capital of Karnataka. Feel the refreshing spray of Jhari Falls, witness a spectacular sunset from Mullayanagiri Peak—the highest point in Karnataka—and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of rolling coffee estates.
The journey continues through the architectural wonders of the Hoysala Empire, with visits to the magnificent Hoysaleswara Temple and Chennakesava Temple, renowned for their intricate stone carvings and timeless craftsmanship.

Arrival at Mangaluru (MAJN) by ~13:00-14:00 (as per train schedule).
Lunch en route from Mangalore towards Dharmasthala.
After lunch, drive from Mangaluru → Dharmasthala (~1-1.5 hrs).
Check-in at a hotel in Dharmasthala, fresh up.
Evening: Explore Dharmasthala (temple visit, local market, perhaps museum or temple ghats).
Night stay in Dharmasthala.
Early breakfast in Dharmasthala.
Depart for Jhari Falls (in Chikmagalur district) — route via Chikmagalur region. Visit waterfall, enjoy nature.
Note: Jhari Falls is ~22-25 km from Chikmagalur town and the last few km require a jeep or a short trek.
After waterfall visit, proceed to Mullayanagiri for sunset view. Drive up, park at the highest accessible point, short walk to vantage.
Evening return to Chikmagalur town for dinner and overnight stay.

Visit Hoysaleswara Temple (in Halebid) – Explore Hoysala architecture.
Visit Chennakeshava Temple (in Belur) –
Stop at Siri Café for coffee and light snack.
