Geminids Meteor Shower – Stargazing Near Mumbai

The Geminid meteor shower, which takes place every year from December 4 to 20, is regarded as the best yearly meteor shower. The Geminid meteor shower’s peak occurs from midnight to five in the morning. The Geminid meteor shower emanates from a region close to the prominent stars Castor and Pollux in the constellation Gemini, yet it may be seen virtually anywhere in the night sky. They frequently have a yellowish hue, and at their peak, there is a chance to see 100 to 120 meteors each hour. The majority of meteors often fall in the early morning hours, primarily around 2 a.m. local time. Astrologers use them to predict future and sailors follow them to navigate high seas.
