Surrounded by pine and oak forests, it’s an ideal base for exploring nearby temples and natural attractions. Jageshwar Dham: A sacred temple complex near Almora, Jageshwar Dham is dedicated to Lord Shiva and dates back to the 9th century.
Set amidst dense deodar forests, it’s a spiritual haven with over 100 ancient temples, attracting pilgrims and history enthusiasts alike. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary: Located near Almora, Binsar is a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. This sanctuary offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks, dense forests, and a variety of flora and fauna, including leopards, deer, and numerous bird species. Kausani: Often dubbed the ‘Switzerland of India,’ Kausani is a tranquil hill station famous for its breathtaking views of the Trisul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli peaks.
