This property is a blend of modern American A-frame architecture with traditional Himalayan aesthetics.
It’s a sprawling 1200 sq ft duplex. There is one bedroom on each floor, with attached bathroom-toilet and dressing areas. Both bedrooms have king-size beds.
The ground floor has a kitchen-diner and living area with an iron fireplace/ Bukhari. Additionally, it has a 25x4ft balcony. The top floor has a spacious terrace and A-frame window with magnificent views.
This stay is a labor of love designed for homely comfort in the middle of lush green Himalayan mountains. An ‘A’ frame duplex with two rooms on two different levels ensures a comfortable and luxurious stay with your family and friends. Both rooms have separate washrooms, dressing areas, and balconies.
Bathrooms are equipped with hot showers to wash away your blues. The ground floor has a kitchen and a sumptuous dining area. This floor also has the living area around an iron fireplace.
The windows and balconies open to breathtaking views of Panchchuli, Nanda Devi, and Trishul mountain ranges on a day with clear skies. Its striking 180-degree Himalayan views have earned it its name, a Spanish term for a balcony or tower with a viewpoint—an architectural blend of the East and West.
The panoramic vistas of verdant hills around, dotted with quaint village homes, adds magic to your stay even on a rainy day when the mountains are clouded. You can see wisps of curly white clouds rising from the green treetops, sometimes floating like a white sea in the valleys ahead.
Accommodations: Private access to the whole duplex and shared access to the open kitchen-diner and the orchard.
Activities: Guests can roam and relax around the orchard or take walks in the forest trails within and around the property.
Atmosphere: Wake up to glorious sunrises and birdsongs. Bask in the sun on the terrace, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and end the day under a star-filled sky.
Dining: Meals are served at the open kitchen-diner area (Breakfast: ₹300; Lunch & Dinner: ₹550 each; Evening Snacks: ₹100). Traditional Kumaoni cuisine is served; please inform the host of dietary preferences or allergies a day in advance.
Kitchen Facilities: Basic kitchen amenities are available for ₹700/day. Cooking baby meals or quick snacks is free of charge at the communal kitchen.
Terrain: The rough hilly terrain may be challenging for toddlers, the elderly, or persons with mobility disabilities.
Location Access: The last 750m of the approach is a unpaved country road; driving is discouraged during rain or snow, and walking may be required.
Driver Accommodation: Not available on-site, but can be found at a nearby market roughly 7km away.
Weather: Conditions change quickly. Guests should bring warm clothing (gloves, puffer jackets, etc.) as the area gets very chilly, especially in the winter or during rains.
