Mathura is a paradise for those who loves to celebrate Holi. The place hosts India’s best holi and you are in for a mesmerizing experience here in the beautiful town of Mathura & Vrindavan. Drench yourself in the colors of this festival and you will cherish this moment for lifetime. We will further explore Vrindavan, a place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood and, which is home to temples dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. Hygienic stay and lip smacking food with fun filled walks through by lanes of Mathura and local transport is assured however, Jacuzzi and AC car’s may not be the right thing to expect out of this trip. Arrival at Mathura (25th Feb)
Arrive in Mathura by morning and check-in to the hotel (early check-in subject to availability). Start the day with a visit to Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple followed by the Dwarkadhish Temple. Visit Vishram Ghat for the Yamuna Aarti and soak in the spiritual vibes. Explore the local markets and don’t miss the famous Mathura Peda from Brijwasi Sweets. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Lathmaar Holi in Barsana (26th Feb)
After breakfast, head to Barsana for the famous Lathmaar Holi celebration. A unique and traditional Holi celebration where men sing songs and women playfully hit them with sticks. Enroute, visit some temples and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Barsana. Return to Mathura by evening, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Exploring Gokul & Govardhan (27th Feb)
Visit Gokul, where Lord Krishna spent his childhood, and explore Nand Bhawan. Visit Raman Reti, a sacred place where Krishna played with his brother Balarama and Gopis. Head to Govardhan Hill for the Govardhan Parikrama, a 21 km journey to the hill believed to be a natural form of Lord Krishna. We’ll take an electric auto ride to complete the parikrama. Visit important spots along the way, including Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, and Kusum Sarovar. Return
Vrindavan Holi Celebration (28th Feb)
Start the day early with a visit to the iconic Bankey Bihari Temple in Vrindavan, where the streets are filled with colorful celebrations. Join the local revelers as they throw colors and water in celebration of Holi. Explore nearby temples like Nidhivan, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON.
