• Parking is available near the jetty for guests arriving by private vehicle.
• Guests travelling by train can get down at Nahur Station (Central Line).
• From Nahur station, guests must hire an auto rickshaw on a waiting basis and request the driver to wait for the return journey as autos may not be easily available from the jetty area.
• Each boat accommodates 10 – 12 participants.
• Life jackets are mandatory and will be provided before boarding the boat.
• Kids life jackets are also available.
• Boats are partially covered in the center, providing shade while allowing open views for bird watching and photography.
• This is a kids-centric educational nature experience, making it perfect for families.
• Children can enjoy observing flamingos, mangroves, and other bird species while learning about the ecosystem.

• The jetty is located inside the mangrove zone and public transport is not available from the boating point for the return journey.
• Guests are strongly advised to come by private vehicle or self-drive.
• If arriving via Ola / Uber, please request the driver to wait for the return journey, as booking a cab from the jetty area can be difficult.
• The boating point is approximately 3–4 km inside from the main highway, and in case transport is unavailable, guests may need to walk till the highway to find a vehicle.
• Flamingo sightings depend on season, tide and bird movement, as this is a natural habitat.
• While sightings are common during the season, they cannot be guaranteed.
• This activity takes place in a natural mangrove ecosystem, so guests may experience mudflats, insects, and natural wetland smell typical of such habitats.
Reach the designated meeting point at Flamingo Sanctuary near Bhandup Pumping Station, from where participants will proceed towards the boating launch site.
To ensure smooth coordination, a WhatsApp group will be created before the event, where the exact meeting location and boat coordinator’s contact number will be shared with all participants.
From the jetty, participants will board the boat for an exciting Flamingo Boat Safari through the mangrove creeks. During the safari, you may witness large flocks of vibrant flamingos along with other shorebirds and waders in their natural habitat.
This safari offers a great opportunity for birdwatching and wildlife photography, as the colorful groups of flamingos against the mangrove backdrop create stunning photo moments.
Participants are advised to carry light snacks, breakfast, and drinking water for the experience.
The Flamingo Bird Walk will conclude after the trail exploration.
