Situated at an elevation of approximately 10200 ft above sea level, Ghairoli Patal offers spectacular views of the beautiful terraced landscapes of the Kulling Valley. The climb is gradual, scenic, and filled with fascinating natural beauty throughout the trail.
Along the way, you will pass the revered Latu Devta Temple and cross the beautiful Neelganga River before entering dense forests rich with diverse flora and fauna. Today’s trek takes you from Ghairoli Patal to Ali Bedni Bugyal. As you ascend higher along the trail, the magnificent twin meadows of Ali and Bedni Bugyal slowly begin to unfold before your eyes. The sight of these endless rolling grasslands surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks is truly breathtaking and unlike anything else.
The ridge reached during today’s trek stands at an elevation of approximately 11185\ \text{ft} above sea level. The trail is moderately easy and passes through dense oak forests before gradually opening into vast alpine meadows that appear endless in every direction.
One of the most fascinating aspects of these meadows is how dramatically they transform with the seasons — shifting from lush green landscapes during summer to snow-covered expanses during winter. The beauty of the scenery makes every step of the journey incredibly rewarding.
A steady trek through the forests and meadows will lead you to Ali Bugyal in around 6 hours. Covering a total distance of approximately 8.5 km, today’s trek offers countless opportunities to pause, admire the panoramic Himalayan landscapes, and capture some truly cinematic photographs of the surrounding valleys and grasslands.

The trail first leads towards the beautiful Neel Ganga River, located nearby. The route from Ghairoli Patal to Neel Ganga is scenic and relatively easy to moderate, with gradual descents that usually take around 1–2 hours to complete. As you descend, you are rewarded with breathtaking bird’s-eye views of the surrounding valleys and forests, making this stretch one of the most picturesque sections of the trek.
Upon reaching the river, you can relax beside the crystal-clear waters, refresh yourself, and take in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. From here, the trail continues down towards Wan village through steep yet exciting descents that wind through forests and mountain terrain.
This marks the final trekking stretch of the journey, so take the opportunity to fully enjoy the serene Himalayan surroundings and the beauty of the trail one last time. Once you arrive at Wan village, a short drive takes you to Lohajung village.
The drive from Wan to Lohajung takes approximately 45 minutes and covers a distance of nearly 10 km. After reaching Lohajung, settle into your stay and spend the remaining part of the day relaxing amidst the peaceful mountain landscapes. You may also explore nearby areas, enjoy the calm surroundings, and unwind in the tranquility of nature before retiring for the night.

Today, you will travel from Wan back to Rishikesh, bringing your unforgettable Himalayan excursion to a complete circle. Since the journey is long, the departure from the campsite takes place early in the morning.
The drive from Wan to Rishikesh covers a distance of approximately 259 km and usually takes around 11 hours, depending on road and weather conditions. Throughout the journey, you will once again pass through beautiful mountain roads, river valleys, forests, and charming Himalayan landscapes that accompanied you during the beginning of the trek.
With a few snack breaks and a lunch halt along the way, the drive remains comfortable and scenic. Use this time to relax, revisit the memories created during the trek, and enjoy the breathtaking views one final time before returning to the city.
You are expected to reach Rishikesh by around 8 PM, after which you can bid farewell to your fellow travelers and continue onward with unforgettable memories of the Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek.
