The temple, built in Nagara style, is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva defeated the demon Tripurasura. Situated near the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves, this temple is an architectural gem built in red basalt.

Grishneshwar is closely associated with stories of deep devotion and divine intervention. It is the twelfth and last of the Jyotirlingas in the traditional list. Located near Nashik, Trimbakeshwar is unique for its linga which represents the holy trinity – Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. It’s also the origin of the sacred River Godavari. The temple is a significant center for various religious rituals and the famous Kumbh Mela. One of the most spiritually powerful temples, Mahakaleshwar is the only Jyotirlinga where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a swayambhu (self-manifested) lingam.
