Host Commission Policy
Staydaze.com — Effective Date: April 2025
Overview
Staydaze follows a simple and transparent host commission structure. For every confirmed booking
made through Staydaze, a total commission of 10% is deducted from the booking value payable to the
host. This 10% includes the 2% payment gateway charge applicable through Razorpay for standard
transactions, and Staydaze does not levy any additional or hidden charges beyond this disclosed
amount.
Where applicable, 18% GST is calculated only on the base price or taxable value, and not on tax
itself. Under GST principles, tax is charged on the transaction value / taxable value, and GST itself is
excluded from that base.

This means the host receives 90% of the booking amount, subject only to the commission structure described above. Razorpay publicly states that its standard payment gateway pricing starts at 2% per transaction, with 18% GST applicable on that fee, and also states that there are no setup fees, annual maintenance charges, or hidden costs in its standard pricing model.
GST Clarification
For billing and invoicing purposes, any applicable 18% GST is to be calculated on the base price only.
GST must not be charged on an amount that already includes GST, and tax must not be calculated on top of another tax amount.

The 10% total commission charged to hosts is inclusive of:
No separate onboarding fee, listing fee, maintenance fee, or undisclosed service charge is applied by Staydaze under this policy. Razorpay also states that standard pricing has ₹0 setup, ₹0 maintenance, and ₹0 integration support charges, which supports the transparency of the included payment
processing component.
No Hidden Charges
Staydaze is committed to clear pricing for hosts. Apart from the disclosed 10% total commission, hosts
will not be charged any additional hidden fees, platform fees, support fees, annual fees, or surprise
deductions by Staydaze.
If any statutory tax is applicable under law, such tax may be charged separately only where legally required and will be clearly communicated in writing or in the payout statement. Such tax will be computed on the applicable base value / taxable value only.
Illustrative Example
If a guest books a stay with a base price of ₹10,000, the billing may be shown as follows, where 18%
GST applies on the base price:
If the host commission is calculated on the agreed base booking amount of ₹10,000, then:
Within the ₹1,000 commission, ₹200 represents the 2% Razorpay payment gateway component, and ₹800 represents the Staydaze platform commission. Razorpay’s standard pricing page states that payment acceptance starts at 2%, which aligns with the gateway component shown in this example.
Payout Clarification
Host payouts are processed after deducting the total agreed commission of 10% from the final booking amount received for the reservation, subject to the commercial arrangement between Staydaze and the host. The exact payout timeline may depend on the booking terms, check-in completion, and internal payout cycle communicated by Staydaze. And the host receives 90% of the price 3-5 days from the customer’s checkout. If the booking is more than 4+ days, Staydaze will
process 40% as an advance one day before the check-in, to help Hosts for better operations and the remaining 3-5 days from the customer’s checkout.
