The Aadrai Jungle Trek is one of the most immersive ways to experience the untouched wilderness of the Sahyadri ranges. Hidden deep within the lush forests of Malshej Ghat, this monsoon trek takes you through dense jungle trails, cascading waterfalls, mist-covered valleys, mountain streams, ancient caves, and breathtaking viewpoints.
Often described as being “lost in the woods,” the Aadrai trail winds through a pristine rainforest where sunlight rarely reaches the forest floor. Surrounded by rich flora and fauna, trekkers cross numerous streams and waterfalls, including spectacular views of the mighty Kalu Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in Maharashtra, plunging nearly 1,200 feet into the valley below.
The trail remained largely unknown until it was discovered by a local villager who accidentally stumbled upon it while hunting in the forest. Today, it remains one of the most rewarding offbeat treks in Maharashtra, offering a perfect escape into nature.
Apart from its enchanting forest paths, the trek also features attractions such as the ancient Nageshwar Temple and hidden caves that add a cultural and historical dimension to the journey.
Ideal for monsoon enthusiasts, the Aadrai Jungle Trek offers a refreshing retreat from city life. Every step through its dense forests, flowing streams, and misty landscapes reconnects you with nature, making it one of the most memorable trekking experiences in the Sahyadris.
